Antonio Prado has served, since 2013, as the CEG’s pro bono Executive Director. Primary responsibilities have been the financial budgeting, management, and oversight of the organization’s business operations and, more recently, the coordination and direction of all functions related to the development of new for-sale affordable housing concepts, as well as rentals, on CEG-owned properties and as-co-developer of vacant sites owned by member churches, under a joint venture with Enterprise Community Partners, one of the nation’s leading nonprofit housing advocates and providers.
Mr. Prado’ professional experience includes over thirty years as President/CEO of The Hamilton Group, a South Florida developer of commercial projects and residential communities.
His past business experience also includes service as a Director of Pacific National Bank, Miami, since its founding in 1985, including the last five years as Chairman of its Board of Directors and Loan Committee, until retirement in 2009.
Current business and professional activities include outsourced financial and real estate development consulting to private-sector business and nonprofit clients through Hamilton Planning Consultants, Inc., providing financial feasibility studies, oversight of project financing, supervision of development operations and timelines, and coordination with in-house management and the outside professional team.
Other current activities include: Adjunct Faculty Member at the University of Miami School of Law, as Developer in Residence in their Master’s Degree Program in Real Property Development.
Community service includes more than thirty years of experience as volunteer and Board member of numerous nonprofit organizations. Prior service includes: Board Director of Neighborhood Housing Services of South Florida, and of AIJ/Americans for Immigrant Justice (formerly: FIAC). Past activities also include service as Board Director of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami, East Little Havana CDC, and Kairos Prison Ministry.
Educational experience and credentials include a B.A. degree in Business Administration, magna cum laude, from Boston University, Boston, MA.
